During longer term or seasonal storage of three months or more, the residue of the fluid in the pump can corrode and cause deposits. Cat Pumps high pressure pumps that are stored where the temperature can drop below minus point there is a chance that the pump head can freeze and be damaged.

Store Catpump below freezing point

If temperatures are below freezing, flush your pump with a 50/50 solution of 50% antifreeze and 50% water. Every tank, hoses etc must be drained.
